This cathedral is located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, across from the Convention Center. I found out that this Gothic stylef structure was dedicated in 1892 and has been continuously used ever since.
When i sat on the cushioned seats before mass, i could not help but become mesmerized by the magnificent altar, vailted ceilng and statues in the back with lighted votive candles. It is what i have envisioned what a cathedral church would be.
I did not want to leave but honestly, i was able to quiet my worldly minded self and just able to contemplate a peaceful experience, even for just a few minutes.
A large, beautiful, traditional Catholic church. The building was practically filled with people of all ages during 11:00 a.m. Mass the Sunday we visited. Father was reverent and inspiring with his homily. The mosaics all around are awesome and full of pictures of saints and holy messages. The cantor's singing was divine with her beautiful voice. There were lots of Eucharistic ministers which made communion go fairly quickly. It was a prayerful time in a most gorgeous setting.
We were visiting the area and attended mass the past Sunday and we were taken back by the beauty of this church! Also, the parishioners were very friendly despite my noisy children. Hopefully, we can visit again next time we are in the area!
my neice got married here n it was absolutely beautiful
I was in awe in the presence of this beautiful cathedral. Well, you don't see church with Renaissance Revival architecture very often nowadays. It was located on 804, Terry St on my birthday. A sign maybe? hahaha anyway i enjoy the visit very much.
Beautiful Cathedral. It's a piece of art in It's own right, as well as being a Spiritual Place of Prayer. Highly recommended visit in Fort Worth!
I love attending mass here when I get the chance. I mostly go for solemn high liturgical events like Easter, Ascension, Assumption, HDO (Holy Days of Obligation) and other wonderful feast days of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Now it ain’t the best cathedral in America and it certainly ain’t the best church in the DFW metroplex but if you want to visit a cool space where priests and parishioners are on their journey to sainthood together then check out this place it might just do the trick for ya.
I grew up in this church in loved it Me in my kids did all our sacraments their and the priest blessed me in my boyfriend their pray for me me in Amelia govea
